Walk More – Eat Well – Live Longer
For many of Howard S. Wright’s employees, Saturday, May 23rd marked a day of walking in support of the American Heart Association, raising awareness and donations for heart disease through the “Start! Heart Walk” event. Employees, dogs, babies, families and friends from Portland and Vancouver gathered for the successful event, with over 83 walkers in attendance, making our second annual Heart Walk a day to remember. Sporting commemorative t-shirts, we walked alongside hundreds of people, including companies and clients like Legacy Health Systems, Southwest Washington Medical Center and Kaiser Permanente.
The Heart Walk was literally a great step in service to others for Howard S. Wright, as the company and employees raised thousands of dollars for the cause. The funds raised will go toward research, education and promoting awareness in order to reduce heart disease and stroke.
We look forward to seeing everyone again next year and thank you to all who participated. In the mean time, check out www.heart.org for ways to reduce your risk for heart disease, gain nutrition tips, health resources and more. Walk more – eat well – live longer!
