County of San Diego Operations Center Parking Structure

Our firm, as part of a joint-venture, completed this 7-level, 1,821-car parking structure for Lowe Development.  This design-build parking structure is a post-tensioned, beam and slab structure utilizing moment frames for lateral resistance.  Our J-V was awarded this project based on our previous relationship with Lowe, a commitment to build it in eight months, and an aggressive GMP.  Based on the savings achieved, the client has added extensive exterior finishes, including precast concrete, metal panels, and perforated panels with no impact on the schedule.  On the roof of the structure is a group of steel structures supporting photovoltaic panels capable of generating 425 KW of electricity directly into the local power grid.
