Group Health – Tacoma Behavioral Health
This project included the remodel of 1,725 sf of an existing out-patient behavioral health medical clinic for Group Health Cooperative. The area of remodel included the reception, waiting and administrative areas. The clinic was occupied and operational so the work occurred off-hours and the project was completed in two phases over a 4-week duration.
As part of the value engineering effort, the Owner chose to leave the existing carpet in place and utilize it as pad for the new carpet. In addition, the Owner chose to utilize their warehoused furniture product as a substitute for the back-of-house plastic laminate casework.
A new custom reception station with maple trim and glass security panels was installed. The existing privacy screen separating the waiting area from the reception desk was refinished and reinstalled. New wood doors were installed in existing frames and new lighting was installed in the public areas. The nurse call and security system was modified to accommodate the new layout.
