Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center Admitting & Lobby Remodel

HSW’s Medical Group completed four phases of a 19,700 sf remodel of the main lobby and admitting area at Sunnyside Medical Center, Kaiser’s largest hospital in Oregon.

In order to complete this four-phase project, the main entry and admitting functions at the active hospital had to be completely rerouted to the old Pharmacy area vacated some months back. This entailed building new, temporary offices, a gift shop and check-in counters. To save costs, the casework from the existing gift shop and the existing Pharmacy entrance slider were both relocated to the storefront window to form the new entryway.

At the completion of the third phase, the admitting staff were relocated to their new working space and the new administration area was constructed in the temporary space. The final phase of this project involved the conversion of the phase one temporary entrance into new administrative offices.
