Les Schwab Corporate Headquarters

The Les Schwab Headquarters located in Bend, Oregon, is an 118,000 sf Class “A” Office Building with an on-site Data Center. The building consists of two, 3-story buildings and a 2-story connecting component. The structures are constructed of standard steel shapes, castellated beam and composite concrete. The building skin is comprised of metal stud framing and metal panels utilizing a rain screen system. Lastly, the interiors are built on an “Access Flooring” system.

We began this project with Site Grading and Utility permit followed by five separate fast track bid packages: Building “A” Foundations & Structure, Building “B” Foundations & Structure.  Building “C” Foundations & Structure, Complete Shell and Core, and Complete Tenant Improvement. The HSW team worked closely with the design team and the construction manager to ensure timely deliverables and in sequence to meet the project schedule.

The building foundations, structure and envelope were built in below freezing condition during one of the harshest winters on record in the Bend area. We utilized tenting, temporary heat and managed logistics to ensure a fluid work flow. The interior finishes were put in place prior to sustained temperate control, however, with the use of window in-fills and heat.
