Museum Place South Block Development

Museum Place South, located in Portland’s Cultural District, is one of the largest public-private partnerships in Portland’s recent years. Howard S. Wright provided construction services for this three-block development which revitalized Portland’s South Park Blocks.  The components of this significant redevelopment include:

Museum Place Lofts & Townhouses – 325,000 sf building on a full-block site which includes 140 loft-style rental apartments that rest on top of a 47,000 sf Safeway grocery store, 1,100 sf of neighborhood retail space and 220 underground parking spaces.

YWCA Downtown Center – 73,000 sf, fully renovated building offering health and fitness facilities, community center, social services and transitional housing.

St. Francis Apartments – 90,000 sf, 7-story building that houses 132 mixed-income rental units above ground floor retail.

Eliot Tower – 470,000 sf, 18-story Tower which includes 220 residential condominium units, two levels of below-grade parking and retail on grade.

Madison Office Condominiums – 28,000 sf infill project that includes ground floor retail and four floors of office space.
