Regal Cinemas at Pioneer Place

Howard S. Wright completed the build-out of the Regal Cinemas at Pioneer Place, which occupies the top two floors of the Pioneer Place Rotunda.  Pioneer Place is a two-block mixed-use retail center also completed by Howard S. Wright. The six cinemas encircle the open atrium space which continues from the ground floor through to an extensive glass ceiling. The cinemas feature seating for 123 to 234 moviegoers in each cinema with a total of 1,170 chairs. There is also space for patrons in wheelchairs. Our team installed a custom floor system to dampen theater sounds from the floors below. We also installed extensive acoustical tile for additional insulation. To avoid disrupting mall business below, our team carried down all debris in small loads in the service elevators. Scope also included a complete kitchen area, administration areas, bathroom and HVAC and heat pump system upgrade.
