Rubbermaid Expansion

The Rubbermaid expansion project is a 353,000 sf addition that more than doubled the existing manufacturing and warehouse facility. The expansion added both manufacturing and warehouse capacity which makes this one of Rubbermaid’s largest manufacturing and distribution centers in the West. The structure is a single-level building of concrete tilt construction. The 42×20 foot tilt panels, which were formed and poured on site, weigh in at over 70-tons each. The roof structure is a joist and girder system that is supported independently from the tilt panels and is covered with a single-ply membrane. Three new chiller towers and a chiller process plant were added to the site to support the additional manufacturing capabilities. Fifteen new injection molds and two new blow-molds are supported with five material silos.
