Within Seattle’s historic Smith Tower, we demolished the 8,600 sf, fourth floor and rebuilt it with large open meeting rooms and smaller rooms with partitions.  All windows and door frames are finished to resemble wood.  The brass hardware was removed, refinished, and re-used throughout the new space.  Small 1” ceramic tiles were refurbished and remain in common areas.  The building doesn’t have a loading dock or freight elevator, so all construction deliveries were scheduled through the bellman with special measures taken to protect the historic elevators.
