South Meadows Middle School

South Meadows Middle School is the first middle school built in 28 years for the Hillsboro School District, the third largest district in Oregon.  This HSW project supports a full-service industrial kitchen that produces meals for 14 area schools and a gymnasium that was doubled in size for participation with the local parks department.  It also has a 25 percent growth capacity and incorporates the current science of learning into the design – including natural lighting and ventilation, campus safety and security features, and a pod-oriented layout.
