The Columbian

The Columbian Office Building is a 6-story LEED Gold office building in downtown Vancouver, WA. The building is constructed of structural steel utilizing buckle resistant brace frames. The exterior facade includes a variety of materials including architectural precast, brick, composite metal panels, and glazing as well as ornamental glass canopies. Building cooling is provided with groundwater extracted from an aquifer by ground source wells which inject the water at completion of the cooling cycle. Electrical systems include a state-of-the-art lighting control system, the latest in building access and security, a complete CATV, telecom, and data system utilizing CAT 6 technology, and AV components throughout for training and presentations. Site features include a rooftop garden and plaza on the pavilion and a large courtyard area with seating and a water feature.
