Western Beverage Cross Deck Facility

HSW and LB Engineers combined forces for design-build delivery of the new Western Beverage Cross Dock project.

The project features CMU and steel construction with steel canopies with prepainted metal roofs. Nine loading docks with overhead doors support the loading dock area which includes underslab tubing with a heatmelt system. The new warehouse space is heated with gas fired with infrared heaters. Adjacent to the warehouse is a large walk-in cooler that is forklift friendly. The office area includes 4,800 sf of interior space. The exterior landscaping was done utilizing low water drip systems, with water tolerant shrubs and trees.

The “cross dock” concept transfers items between carriers which allows minimal use of the warehouse between loads.
