YWCA Downtown Center Renovation

The existing 7-level YWCA Downtown Center, originally built in 1958, was completely renovated by Howard S, Wright.  Improvements included a relocated entrance and remodeled lobby, elevator upgrades, new exterior windows, upgrades to the MEP systems, an outdoor plaza, 24 transitional housing units and new fitness facilities including a renovated swimming pool. This project was a part of a larger effort to revitalize Portland’s West End called Museum Place.
